Steven’s ability to put people at ease allows him to bring out the unique personality of each individual, or portray the bond among family or group members.

Steven is a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America where he holds the distinction of Certified Professional Photographer.  He has studied photography at the Georgia School of Professional Photography, East Coast School Photographic Workshops and Lamarr Williamson School of Photography as well as numerous workshops, seminars and conventions.  Even though Steven has worked in the photographic industry for over 39 years, he continues his education by attending several schools and workshops each year.  After working for other studios in Georgia and North Carolina Steven opened his own studio in 2004.  

There are many words that can be chosen to describe Steven, but some of the ones most often heard are “patient,” “caring”, and “easygoing.” He understands that every person and every session bring particular challenges and opportunities. “You have to keep your eyes, heart, and mind open to the images as they present themselves,” he says. “Especially with children.”

It is this simple but effective philosophy that drives his work. His impressive portfolio includes photographs of families, high school seniors, and select weddings, along with adult and group portraiture. Even so, he has a singular passion for photographing children, from the mother’s maternity session and on through the years.
